There is still time to nominate a Dementia Australia team or staff member, who best demonstrates their commitment to the ALICE principles.
In 2023, Dementia Australia launched its Consumer Engagement Framework: A Stronger Voice Together. This Framework was co-designed by people living with dementia, carers and staff. The Framework has five principles:
- Authentic
- Living experience based
- Inclusive
- Collaborative
- Empowering
These principles form the acronym ALICE, and so to recognise the importance of these principles we have named the award - The ALICE Award.
We are seeking nominations that recognise and celebrate a staff member or a team, from your perspective, that makes a real difference when working with you.
All Dementia Advocates are invited to nominate a Dementia Australia staff member or team for this special award by using the nomination form here.
Alternatively, you can request a hard copy version of the nomination form or ask for assistance to complete the nomination form on your behalf by contacting your Consumer Engagement Coordinator or by emailing us at [email protected]
NOMINATIONS WILL CLOSE 6TH OCTOBER 2023
Who is not eligible to be nominated
Please note, the staff responsible for the Dementia Advocates Program including the Consumer Engagement Coordinators, National Manager Dementia Advocates Program and the General Manager Consumer Engagement are not eligible for this award. This is because genuine and meaningful involvement with people living with dementia, their carers and families, are core business for this team.
