More than 120 Dementia Advocates recently shared their experiences of balancing work and informal care responsibilities through the Dementia Australia Carer Leave Survey.

The statistically significant 34 per cent response rate indicated the high level of interest in the issues raised around informal care provision.  The detailed data obtained from the survey will be valuable in informing a forthcoming policy submission as part of Australian Government Productivity Commission’s Carer Leave Inquiry. The results will also inform Dementia Australia’s ongoing policy work around carer-related issues including the Australian Government’s Select Committee on Work And Care.
