Dementia Advocate Phil Hazell was a guest speaker at the recent Association of Neurophysiology Scientists of Australia (ASNA) Conference 2022, held in Sydney.

Speaking to some of Australia’s best and brightest neurophysiologists, Phil gave an informative, compelling and at times humorous presentation about his journey with dementia.

Phil spoke of the amazing uptick in his cognitive abilities following his increase in activity and engagement as a Dementia Advocate.

He also talked about the importance of Sara, his assistance dog, in maintaining his independence and overall wellbeing.

The conference organisers were particularly appreciative of Phil’s presentation and commented that it had been a huge eye-opener for the audience.
