Caring for a loved one with dementia can be, at times, challenging. But there are many ways to find hope and for the October Library Pick of the Month, the Dementia Australia librarians have chosen this resource to help and inspire carers.

In ‘Loving Someone Who Has Dementia’, Dr Pauline Boss outlines how to manage ongoing stress and grief. She outlines seven guidelines to stay resilient while caring for someone who lives with dementia and discusses the meaning of relationships with individuals who are cognitively impaired. This is a great resource for carers, family members and friends, as well as educators and professionals.

You can find this resource as both an ebook and an audiobook, along with other resources for carers, in our Library Guide at https://dementia-org.libguides.com/Dementia_and_Your_Caring_Role
