Dementia Australia’s headline event for Dementia Action Week 2019 will be held at the Sydney Opera House from 10.30am to 1pm on Monday 16 September.
It will include a panel discussion with Dementia Australia Ambassador Ita Buttrose AC OBE; Maggie Beer AM, Australian food icon; Shaynna Blaze, interior designer, host of Selling Houses Australia on Foxtel and a judge on the Nine Network’s The Block, and Dementia Advocate Phil Hazell. The panel will be facilitated by Sky News Australia Political Editor David Speers.
The panel discussion will be followed by a screening of a beautiful and moving short film Baba, which tells the story of a day of traumatic events that lead a family caring for a loved one living with dementia to make a tough decision. This will be followed with a Q&A with the film’s director John Fink.
Limited tickets are available. Register to attend the event at the Opera House.
This event will also be live streamed at 11am on 16 September.
