Dementia friendly communities - community session

The session increases awareness and understanding of what it is like to live with dementia and how to support someone living with dementia. 

Dementia Australia's facilitators have specialist knowledge, skills and experience. 

You will gain knowledge in:

  • what it is like to live with dementia
  • what you can do to make life in the community better for people living with dementia
  • dementia-friendly communities 

Suitable for: Members of the general public who are concerned about the welfare of people living with dementia and who want to raise awareness of the needs of people living with dementia and support them.  
 
This session can be delivered onsite on the behalf of community groups and organisations. If you would like to discuss onsite delivery, please contact the National Dementia Helpline on 1800 100 500. 

This program is not suitable for professional carers or people employed in the health or aged care industries. The resources, content and delivery will not meet the needs of professionals.
