This nationally-accredited course is designed to assist workers supporting people living with dementia.

Strategies are explored to assist with good communication, planning and developing appropriate activities and understanding behaviours in people living with dementia. Develop a comprehensive knowledge of dementia incorporating therapeutic communication techniques, person centred care and how to develop practical strategies to respond to behaviours that require intervention.

 

This is a 3 day training course with the following days of attendance:

Tuesdays - 20 & 27 February, 6 March 2018

9:30am - 4:30pm

Suitable for:

Staff providing support to people living with dementia.

Cost: Fully funded

Please note: Eligible participants must be working with people living with dementia to attend free of cost. If you are not working with people living with dementia you can attend at a cost of $600.
