Dementia Australia diversity small grants

Apply for a Dementia Australia diversity small grant before 11 October 2024 to build dementia understanding and support in your community.

Dementia Australia is offering grant opportunities of up to $30,000 (inc. GST) to Australian Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse organisations or groups. The grant also includes two complimentary dementia information sessions for staff or committee members of the successful organisations, delivered by Dementia Australia.

This grant aims to: 

  • increase equity of access to dementia information and support across diverse groups
  • build greater understanding of dementia
  • empower staff and community leaders to facilitate conversations about dementia in their community. 

Who can apply

The selection process will prioritise applications that meet the following criteria, and will be projects that:

  • Target the needs of Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and/or Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities.
  • Demonstrate specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time sensitive outcomes.

Residential aged care agencies are not eligible to apply.

When to apply

Applications open 9 September 2024 and close at 5pm AEDT, 11 October 2024.

All applications will be acknowledged upon receipt and advised of the outcome before 4 November 2024.

Funding agreements for successful grant applicants must be signed-off by 15 November 2024 and each project must be completed by the 30 June 2025.
