People with dementia join forces to Engage, Enable and Empower all those living with a diagnosis

Dementia Australia (VIC) has launched a new national resource - Engage, Enable, Empower  at the Victorian Parliamentary Friends of Dementia event in Melbourne.

A group of fourteen participants have joined forces to share their experience through a website and booklet that have been specifically developed by people living with dementia, for people living with dementia.

Engage, Enable, Empower aims to inspire anyone who is living with dementia to know that it is possible to live a good quality of life and to communicate important information about maintaining your mind, body and overall health.

Engage, Enable, Empower also highlights the importance of seeking support from family, friends and the community.

Through the advice of this group of people living with dementia, the resource will hopefully encourage others to learn more about remaining engaged and how small changes to their lifestyle can lead to better health and wellbeing.

The website can be found at www.livingwellwithdementia.org.au. The booklet can be downloaded from the website.
