I would like to invite you to participate in my Master’s Research project. I am writing my thesis on the support services offered to individuals caring for the needs of individuals living with dementia, and the carers experiences of these services.
The aim of the study is to investigate the provision of support services on offer to support individuals providing care to people living with dementia and how these services are perceived by both the service providers and the carers that use these services. I will examine the views of best practice from health professionals and what is considered most useful and needed by people caring for the needs of individuals living with dementia. Finally, I will explore the possibility of offering motivational interviewing as a future intervention to improve coping and interactions of dementia carers with those living with dementia.
The research will consist of a 30-minute phone interview with various participant groups including people aged 30-70 years, health professionals, professional care assistants and informal carers.
If you are interested in finding out more about the topic, please respond to this invitation and a researcher will contact you to provide you with the Participant Information Statement. Thank you for taking the time to read the information about the study.
