How well do you manage your finances? Can you easily spot scams? Do you make good financial decisions?

To help answer these questions, researchers at the Brain and Mind Centre invite adults aged 50 and above to participate in a study to develop a new online test for everyday financial skills.

Following this development phase, the test will be made freely available on a website, which aims to make the new financial skills test quickly and easily accessible to older adults in Australia. The new website will also provide instant feedback on test results, tips and recommendations for improving financial management, scam detection and decision-making.

Study participation involves completing a series of surveys and tasks online. You will answer questions about your health and background, technology and financial literacy and complete tasks such as handling cash, paying bills, budgeting, identifying scams and making financial decisions. This will take approximately 1 hour in total. Once you have completed the study, you can enter the prize draw to win a $100 Coles/Myer voucher.
