Home-based family caregiver-delivered interventions for people living with dementia: A randomised controlled trial

Overview: 

If you have a diagnosis of dementia or care for someone with dementia at home, you may be eligible to participate in this research project.

Participants will be randomly assigned to either a home-based music program, a home-based reading program, or a control group. The reading and music programs are designed to be delivered by the family carers who will receive training in their own home. No reading or music talents are required. Prior to starting, after 6 and 12 weeks, and after 6 months, all participants will complete assessments of wellbeing, relationship quality and cognitive function.
