The aim of the project is to find out what areas of need are most important to people with dementia and their formal and informal carers, with the long-term aim of developing new technologies that can meet these needs.
This study consists of an online survey, in which we seek to learn more about the experience of caring for someone living with dementia, either in an informal capacity (as a family member or friend) or in a formal capacity (as a care worker or health professional). If you participate, you will be asked about your experiences with dementia care, the areas where people with dementia need the most support, and what kinds of solutions might help.
Later, we are interested in following this survey up with in-depth interviews. During the survey, you will have the opportunity to indicate your interest in finding out more about taking part in these interviews.
You will not be asked for any personal information and can stay anonymous if you wish. Your information will be kept confidential. We expect completing the survey to take approximately 20 minutes. As a token of thanks for your time and experience, as part of completing the survey you can choose to enter a draw to win one of ten $100 Visa gift cards.
