Overview

Speech Pathology researchers from Australian Catholic University are currently recruiting participants for a research study exploring how spouses of people with dementia experience changes in their relationship and communication with their partner. This research is being conducted by Olivia Trixner, a speech pathology honours student, under the supervision of Dr Erin Conway and Dr Zaneta Mok – Speech Pathologists and researchers in the field of dementia.

The researchers are looking to talk to people who are the partner/spouse and primary caregiver of a person with a diagnosis of dementia (any type of dementia); who had been with their partner prior to the onset of dementia.

What you will be asked to do as a participant:

  • Complete one (1) interview with the student and one supervisor; or just with one supervisor.
  • The interviews are anticipated to take approximately 1 hour.
  • Interviews may be conducted face-to-face at an Australian Catholic University campus in Brisbane or Melbourne, or over phone or video-call.
