Carers Australia

Carers Australia is the National peak body representing Australia’s carers, advocating on behalf of Australia’s carers to influence policies and services at a national level. It works collaboratively with partners and its member organisations, the Network of state and territory Carers Associations, to deliver a range of essential national carer services.

Carers Australia advocates and lobbies on a wide range of issues that affect carers and also manages the delivery of national programs, support and services for carers across Australia.

The Centre for Cultural Diversity in Ageing provides expertise in culturally inclusive policy and practices for the aged services sector with over 20 years of experience in supporting aged care providers to address the needs of older people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

Centre for Dementia Learning

Dementia Australia has over thirty years experience in promoting high quality dementia practice, and the formation of Dementia Australia has enabled us to bring together this expertise in the Centre for Dementia Learning.

For the first time aged and community care providers, health professionals and others across the country and internationally will have access to the most contemporary knowledge, skill and expertise in dementia practice.


Centrelink delivers a range of government payments and services for retirees, the unemployed, families, carers, parents, people with disabilities, Indigenous Australians, students aged 16-24, apprentices and people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, and provides services at times of major change. The majority of Centrelink's services are the disbursement of social security payments.
