Carer support groups (WA)

The Carer Support Program meets once a month for two hours.

The program provides an opportunity for carers to connect with others who are also living with the unique experience and emotions of the caring role. Carer Support Groups are located across the metropolitan area including Mandurah, Melville, Gosnells, Warwick, Tuart Hill, Joondalup, Shenton Park, Willeton, Wanneroo, Midland, Baldivis, South Fremantle and Kalamunda.

A separate program for the Younger Onset Dementia group (those diagnosed and under the age of 65) is also available and details may be obtained by contacting the email address below.

We are also working toward establishing some Carer Support Programs in Cockburn. Please contact the Carer Support Team for further information.

Carer Support groups are fully funded by government and therefore free.

Social Groups

Our social groups are an informal opportunity to meet other carers of people with dementia over a cup of tea or coffee at a local café.  Our current locations for our social groups are Canning Vale, Osborne Park and Kingsley.
