Through Their Own Eyes Photo Exhibition, Korumburra*

An exhibition of photographs taken by 14 different people living with early stage dementia in Victoria. This exhibition will be run at the same time as Total Eclipse of the Heart, a production by Korumburra Secondary College and sponsored by Dementia Australia Vic. The story depicts the struggles of a modern Australian family and their grandmother who has early onset dementia.

Time: Exhibition will be run with the production, which starts at 5pm.

Dash For Dementia*

Calling all super heroes! Join in the fun to raise awareness and support Dementia Australia Vic. Event organised by a community fundraiser.

Dementia. You are not Alone.

Public lecture by Assoc Prof Mark Yates, Ballarat Health Services, about dementia healthcare in the region. Visit our expo tables and talk to local service providers to find out what's available in your area.

Public Lecture: Forget Memory Loss - What About the Person? International Speaker Professor Steven Sabat (USA).

People living with dementia are actively breaking down stereotypes while being supported and empowered to take control of their lives. Prof Steven Sabat says that people with dementia can, in fact, make new memories and they therefore should not be thought of as having ‘memory loss’.
