Every person impacted by dementia has a story to tell. Many want to share their story to help improve the lives of others, but do not know where to begin.

Anyone with a diagnosis of dementia, as well as carers or former carers of people with dementia can become a Dementia Advocate.

Dementia Advisory Committee

The purpose of the Dementia Australia Advisory Committee is to elevate the voice of people living with dementia on a national platform.

The committee informs Dementia Australia about the priorities of people living with dementia in regards to, advocacy, policy, service delivery and program development. 

The committee was established in 2013 in response to people with dementia around the country who wanted to be involved in advocating for the needs of people with dementia and their families.
