Dementia Action Week
Dementia Action Week is a major leadership, awareness and advocacy campaign led by Dementia Australia as the peak body for people living with dementia, their families and carers. Dementia Action Week 2024 is from 16-22 September, which includes World Alzheimer’s Day on Saturday 21 September.
Around two-thirds of people with dementia live in the community. A lack of knowledge and understanding of dementia may lead to people living with dementia experiencing stigma and discrimination in the community. This Dementia Action week, we’re encouraging everyone to act now to make our communities more dementia-friendly.
This Dementia Australia initiative received funding from the Australian Government.
