Why invest in us

We back visionary thinkers tackling one of the greatest health challenges of our time.

As Australia’s largest non-government funder of dementia research, our support drives nationally competitive studies spanning the full spectrum, from lab discoveries to improved care and quality of life.

Importantly, new knowledge doesn’t stay on the shelf; it translates into meaningful change for people living with dementia and those who support them.

Our mission is to fund the most promising minds in dementia research, enabling innovative projects that advance prevention, treatment and care. By partnering with us, you can help nurture the next generation of research leaders.

While government grants sustain established research projects, philanthropy powers bold new directions, giving early-career researchers the chance to pursue visionary ideas that could become the breakthroughs of tomorrow.

Eighty per cent of our annual income goes directly to research, growing from just three small grants in 2000 to more than $3 million in funding every year.

Our Board and Scientific Panel provide strong oversight to ensure funds target critical gaps. Equally, living experience experts are embedded in our review process. They contribute 20 per cent of the grant assessment score and ensure every project reflects real-world needs.

If you’d like to see dementia research make a real difference in all of our lives, now is the time, get in touch.
