Ends

Join Dementia Australia for an informative session exploring the signs and symptoms, the different types of dementia, and how it can impact individuals and families. Discover the wide range of supports and services Dementia Australia provides to help you navigate a diagnosis or support a loved one. The session also includes a valuable segment on brain health, offering practical tips on how to reduce your risk of developing dementia through lifestyle changes. This free session is suitable for anyone interested in learning more. Empower yourself with knowledge and support – all are welcome.

Gold Coast Libraries, in partnership with Dementia Australia, also invites you to experience an inspiring series of artworks celebrating the creativity and stories of people living with dementia. Spanning five library locations, this unique exhibition showcases a diverse range of artworks created by individuals whose lived experiences bring depth and meaning to each piece. An opening of this multi-location art exhibition will follow the dementia information talk.

More than just an art display, the exhibition offers a window into the lives, emotions, and talents of those living with dementia, challenging stigma and highlighting the importance of connection, inclusion, and expression. Each artwork is a testament to the resilience and creativity that can flourish through dementia.

Presented by Dementia Australia in collaboration with Gold Coast Libraries.

Our programs are free for Gold Coast Library members. If you are not a member, you can sign up for free.
