Georges River Memory Walk and Jog

Dementia Action Week
Date
Saturday, 20 September 2025
Time
8:00am- 1:30pm AEDT

Georges River Council is proud to host the Georges River Memory Walk & Jog, a fundraiser for people impacted by dementia.

As a Council we are determined to beat dementia to the finish line by helping Dementia Australia raise funds for the 433,300 Australians living with dementia and 1.7 million people involved in their care. Funds raised from tickets will be used by Dementia Australia for counselling, education, support lines and research into a cure.

This is an inclusive event, everyone is welcome to participate in the 3.3 km walk or the 6.6 km jog. Local support services will be present with resources for people impacted by dementia.

There will be fun activities for everyone – including a free BBQ and coffee for participants.

Get in fast as the first 200 to register will get a free T-shirt. This event is pet-friendly, and dog owners are encouraged to register their furry friends, who will receive a free bandana.
