ACT Dementia Advocate Lynn McGregor spoke on the panel at the recent Parliamentary Friends of Dementia event at Parliament House in Canberra.

Lynn, who cares for her husband Rod who lives with probable chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE), shared the significant impact this has had on their lives.

She was joined by Wally Lewis AM, a former Australian professional rugby league player, and Robin McGilligan who both live with probable CTE.

We thank Lynn and Rod for sharing their story and experience so they can make a difference for others.

Other attendees included a 20-strong delegation of people living with probable CTE and researchers wearing bright orange t-shirts with the powerful message – You Only Get One Brain.

Parliamentary Friends of Dementia Co-Chairs Senator Helen Polley and Nola Marino MP also attended.

To coincide with the event, Dementia Australia announced Wally Lewis as an Ambassador.
