Webinar: Engaging in Community

Dementia Australia webinars are free videos where subject experts discuss topics relating to dementia for a general audience.

In this webinar Anthony Parker, Community Development Officer at Dementia Australia, Dementia Advocate Russell Martin and Amy Rake from Tamworth Library talk about how we can all be involved in creating dementia-friendly and inclusive communities in collaboration with people living with dementia, their carers and families.

Being involved is rewarding and meaningful, and starts with the collective actions and decisions we each make every day.

You will learn:

  • the impact of dementia on individuals, carers and families
  • how to live well with dementia
  • what a dementia-friendly community is and examples of dementia-friendly communities
  • how to take action and get started towards being inclusive of people living with dementia, carers and families.
