Participants can choose between a 2km or 4km walk/jog, promoting physical activity, social connection, and inclusion. You can also walk at your own pace.
The morning will begin with a group warm-up session led by a fitness instructor, followed by the walk/jog along a safe, accessible route suitable for people of all abilities. Along the course, information stations will provide practical resources and raise awareness about dementia, local supports, and ways to build a more dementia-friendly community. A medal presentation will celebrate all who take part, acknowledging the importance of community involvement in dementia awareness.
At the finish line, a free morning tea will provide an opportunity for participants to connect, share experiences, and engage with local dementia support organisations. The event will also serve as a fundraising initiative, with proceeds supporting dementia-friendly programs and services in the Darwin region.
