Dementia Friendly Community Port Macquarie

We are a community of like-minded people living and working in the local Hastings area working towards creating a dementia-friendly community.

We have a desire to listen to the voices of people living with dementia and their carers, to hear their experiences, challenges, opportunities, barriers to participation in the community and advocate for them.

The Greater Port Macquarie Dementia Friendly Community Alliance aims:

To increase awareness of dementia in the community

To advocate, develop and implement strategies to facilitate social change

To promote and provide engagement and connection within the community for people with dementia

To listen to the voices of people living with dementia and their carers
