Hobsons Bay Soaring Falcons Dementia Alliance
We are a group of individuals who live and/or work in the Hobsons Bay area and are passionate about creating a more inclusive and dementia-friendly community.
We meet monthly and are working towards increasing our community’s awareness of dementia, ensuring the needs of people living with dementia are being represented in local governance, and people living with dementia and their families have opportunity for social engagement and activities in their local community. For example, we currently run free weekly "dementia-cise" fitness classes at Fitness For Her in Altona Meadows.
Members of our alliance include people living with dementia, carers, local business owners and individuals who work in dementia support, research and advocacy.
