As a Dementia-Friendly organisation, staff at Queensland State Archives completed dementia awareness training.
They have added a Memory Lounge in the Reading Room which provides a comfortable and welcoming space for everyone, with furnishings selected to create a dementia-friendly environment.
Visitors are welcome to relax and browse through photo albums and films from QSA’s collection, evoking memories of the State’s history.
The Memory Lounge is a free and public space.
