Top End Mental Health Consumer Organisation (TEMHCO)
TEMHCO offers a safe, non-clinical, community-based space in Palmerston and surrounding areas for people experiencing low to moderate mental health challenges.
Services include a drop-in centre with local service information, group activities, peer mentorship, work readiness and study support, and consumer advocacy.
To attend, people need to be 18+, experiencing low-to-moderate mental health challenges, and comfortable in a non-clinical, group-based setting.
Membership costs $30 per year, with renewals at $15 per year. TEMHCO is open Monday to Friday, 9am–2:30pm, with most activities running in the morning between 9:30–11:30am or 10am–12pm. Activities include art sessions, sewing and textiles, music, karaoke, board games, and craft.
A monthly calendar outlines the full program and activities, and TEMHCO also runs monthly outings and foodbank trips.
