The UQ Art Museum sees itself as serving all Brisbane citizens and has taken great steps to ensure diversity and inclusion are part of the operating principles.

Becoming dementia inclusive, and offering dementia awareness and action training within the group, and making sure its facilities and exhibits are dementia friendly, aligns with the University’s strategic and engagement goals.

Our work speaks to the distinct context of the Art Museum’s place within the University. We aim to connect each visitor with new ideas in creative practice, and with learning in its many forms. The Art Museum provides industry-based training to UQ students to equip them for careers in the arts and humanities. We aim to be a national leader in industry-based education.
