Local businesses, councils and community organisations can do a lot to help people living with dementia stay connected to their communities.

Dementia Australia research showed more than 80 per cent of respondents said people in shops, cafes and restaurants treated people with dementia differently.

People living with dementia also tell us they want to stay active in their community, enjoying the activities and services they always have.
