A national photography project capturing Dementia Advocates from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds is hoping to help break down cultural barriers.

Advocates from Asian, Polynesian, African and South Asian backgrounds were involved.

The photographs will be used to help raise dementia awareness amongst a number of CALD communities where dementia is often hidden or the subject of stigma and shame.

The Advocates participating in this project are champions for their communities and are working hard with Dementia Australia to break down any cultural barriers to dementia care which currently exist.
