Advocates spread awareness in Sheffield, Tasmania

Dementia Advocates Kathy Wells and Graeme Barker shared their experience of dementia during an information session on the Dementia Advocates program along with Kerri-Ann Tipping, Consumer Engagement Coordinator, Dementia Australia at the Sheffield Brain Hub.
The event was an opportunity for the local community to learn about the challenges faced by people impacted by dementia in addition to learning about services and supports available.
Kathy and Graeme gave powerful insights into their roles as Dementia Advocates and what it means to them.
Other brain hub events will be coming to regional areas across the country. If you are interested in being involved in future events, please get in touch with the Consumer Engagement Coordinator representing your state or territory.
