Advocates Talk Tech at Parliament House

Advocates Bobby Redman and Elena Donati shared their experience of dementia and how technology can support people living with dementia, their families and carers during the Parliamentary Friends of Dementia event held in Canberra in March.
Bobby’s and Elena’s voices gave powerful insights during the panel discussion alongside Sammantha Hewitt from McKenzie Aged Care. The event was a great opportunity for parliamentarians, their staff and health and aged care stakeholders to understand the challenges faced by people living with dementia and how digital tools can provide dementia education and support to people living with dementia, their families, carers and the health and aged care workforce.
Attendees also experienced first-hand Dementia Australia’s digital technology innovations, including EDIE virtual reality and Talk with Ted artificial intelligence.

These events offer valuable opportunities to make a strong impact through the powerful voices of Advocates, as well as to strengthen Dementia Australia’s relationships with ministers and policymakers.
