Dementia Australia Advisory Committee gather in Adelaide
This month members of the Dementia Australia Advisory Committee came together for a face-to-face meeting in Adelaide.
An action packed three days saw members of the Committee welcoming new members, looking at the difference between systemic and individual advocacy, hearing from Dementia Australia Client Services and from Professor Blossom Stephan, new Chair of Dementia Curtin University and Dementia Australia.
They also met with Dementia Australia Board members and CEO Maree McCabe.
The final highlight was a trip to the new South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI).
DAAC Chair Bobby Redman also attended the panel discussion on A Stronger Voice Together at Dementia Australia's latest All-Staff Meeting.
The committee meets monthly via video conference with at least one face-to-face meeting a year.
