Research into the detection and treatment of Lewy body dementia receives Dementia Advocates Award

Dementia Australia Research Foundation has awarded more than $3 million to 24 of Australia's best emerging researchers to undertake innovative dementia research.  

Of the successful applicants, Dr Pratishtha Chatterjee at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health, The University of Melbourne has been awarded the 2023 Dementia Advocates’ Award - an award given to the project thought best to deliver important outcomes for people impacted by dementia.  

An Advocates group, comprising Ann Pietsch, Lyntara Quirke, Imelda Gilmore, Cameron Stewart, Kathryn Moyle, Bobby Redman, Steve Rule and Jane Thompson,had the difficult task of ranking the projects and deciding the Award.
