Standing ovation at the National Wounds Conference 2022
Dementia Advocates Nell Hawe and Dennis Frost were guest speakers at the recent National Wounds Conference held at the International Conference Centre in Sydney.
Dennis and Nell spoke at a session dealing with the barriers faced by people with dementia in accessing medical assistance. Both Nell and Dennis gave tremendous insights into what needs to change in medical treatment practices and processes to make them more suitable for people with dementia.
They provided many practical tips to a large auditorium comprised of nurses and other medical professionals.
Such was the lively, passionate and informative nature of Nell’s and Dennis’s presentation that the audience was moved to give a standing ovation at the conclusion. Congratulations to Nell and Dennis.
