The Strengthening Connections meeting in regional South Australia.

Dementia Australia Advisory Committee (DAAC) member Ann Pietsch and Dementia Advocate Timothy Pietsch led the second Strengthening Connections meeting in regional South Australia.

Local people living with dementia, carers, families and community members gathered in the Barossa Valley and were also joined by Dementia Advocates Elaine Ashworth and husband John from the Riverland and Dementia Advocate Vern Marshall from the Adelaide Hills.

Ann and Timothy also attended the Gawler Memory Lane Café to meet with other community members there.

These moments are key to establishing connections between DAAC representatives, Advocates and others with living experience of dementia in the various regions of Australia.

Similar meetings are planned in regional locations throughout Australia in coming months.
