Strengthening Connections: Tasmania

Dementia Australia Advisory Committee members Natalie Ive and Kevyn Morris hosted a Strengthening Connections event in Devonport, Tasmania to explore how people living with dementia, their families and carers can stay connected within their community.

Twenty people were actively engaged during the event, including four Advocates. Feedback included participants feeling more connected after sharing their stories and experiences with each other.

Speaking about the event Kevyn shared, “We come in feeling alone. We leave knowing that we are not.”

The Strengthening Connections program has been a great success and we look forward to sharing more about the future of this program soon.
