Five Dementia Advocates recently participated in a major film project which explored their experiences of dealing with doctors and the medical profession more generally.

This project, organised in collaboration with the Dementia Australia Marketing team and digital agency Media Precinct, is designed to generate awareness of dementia and Dementia Australia’s services directly to GPs and other healthcare professionals. The short videos and advertisements will be used to promote Dementia Australia to GPs across the country.

Many thanks to Jenny Fitzpatrick, Karine Shellshear, Phil Hazell, Keith Davies and Peter Swindell for sharing their heartfelt stories and lived experiences as part of this project.
