Dementia Australia’s online learning experience is continuing to evolve, with exciting changes coming soon.
Coming soon: AI-powered experiential learning
We are excited to continue to lead the way in accessible online learning that is designed to build essential knowledge for person-centred dementia care.
In October 2026, the Dementia Australia Learning Hub will transition to a new online platform, using AI Avatars to deliver a highly engaging and unique ‘experiential learning’ experience.
Participants will learn with AI avatars in a simulated online environment. Aged care workers can build their knowledge and develop different strategies in a safe setting, without fear of judgement, while learning from their experiences and mistakes.
This training builds on the positive outcomes achieved through Dementia Australia’s ‘Talk with Ted’. The Ted avatar has proven effective in delivering online experiential learning that supports meaningful changes in practice and improves outcomes for both workers and the people they care for.
