Autonomy versus Vulnerability; the case of Voluntary Assisted Dying and Dementia

This study aims to contribute to the growing discussion regarding people living with dementia having access to Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD). It aims to explore people with dementia's decision making experiences and experiences of autonomy, thus adding a nuance to the conversation currently missing.

People who meet the following criteria may be eligible to participate

• Have a diagnosis or suspected diagnosis of dementia
• Be willing to participate in an interview regarding your experiences of decision making and your views of Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD). 
   

Participation involves an interview (approximately one hour) which can be face-to-face, or online. Face-to-face interviews will take place in the Newcastle area, Lake Macquarie or Central Coast regions of NSW. Interviews will be recorded.
