Impacts of Chronic Pain Among Unpaid Dementia Carers in the Community

This study aims to determine the impacts of chronic pain among unpaid carers (family members or friends) supporting people with dementia in the community. An anonymous online survey will be conducted. The findings will inform future support and interventions for carers' well-being.

This study has been approved by the University of Southern Queensland's Human Research Ethics Committee

Participation

People who meet the following criteria may be eligible to participate:

  • Are aged 18 years or older
  • Are an unpaid carer (family member or friend) for a person with diagnosed dementia who lives in the community
  • Can read and understand English

Participation involves completing an anonymous online questionnaire about your health, caring experiences, and any chronic pain you may have. The questionnaire will take about 10-20 minutes. You can skip any question or exit the questionnaire at any time.
