Dementia Advocate Scott Cooper on a golf course

Dementia Advocate and golfing fanatic Scott Cooper recently did a case study for the Human Rights Commission (HRC) on his golfing experience as a person with young onset dementia.

The Commission is currently developing guidelines to ensure that golfing clubs are more inclusive of people with a disability and do not discriminate.

Prue Granger, a young Dementia Advocate, was instrumental in ensuring that dementia was considered by the HRC in developing these guidelines through some of her own personal connections and dementia advocacy.

Pictured here is Scott when he scored a hole in one at his beloved Pennant Hills Golf Course which has proven to be a progressive, dementia-friendly golf club.
