Hello Dementia Advocates,

Well, here we are looming towards April - so hard to believe that we are already a quarter-way through 2024. We were very pleased to welcome Dementia Australia’s new Board Chair Merran Kelsall AO as a guest to our last meeting and to share with her some of the work being completed by Dementia Advocates.

The Strengthening Connections project is moving forward at a steady pace, with a further Advocate gathering at Buderim on the Sunshine Coast. You can read more about this here.

Last week the Strengthening Connections project also saw gatherings in Geraldton in Western Australia and Geelong and Cobden in Victoria, which I will share with you next time. There are two more areas to visit in the next few months.

I hope you enjoyed the last Advocates Zoom drop-in meeting, where we heard a great presentation from Client Services explaining Dementia Australia’s key programs and services.  I will look forward to meeting some of you at the next one and, in the meantime, please feel free to contact me or other members of the DAAC on our email DAAC@dementia.org.au

Until the next time.

Bobby Redman
Chair, Dementia Australia Advisory Committee
