The World Health Organization (WHO) has released updated guidelines on reducing the risk of cognitive decline and dementia.

The guidelines provide countries with evidence-based recommendations to help prevent or delay the onset of dementia across the life course.

They are intended to help health-care providers, policymakers and other stakeholders to take strengthened action on risk reduction as an important public health strategy.

Dementia Australia welcomes the release of the updated Guidelines which reinforce our ongoing advocacy on the importance of investment in a National Brain Health Campaign.

The Guidelines can be accessed on the WHO website.
