2025 Dementia Grants Program - OUTCOMES ANNOUNCED

The Dementia Australia Research Foundation is pleased to announce the outcomes of the 2025 Dementia Grants Program, supporting talented new, early and mid-career researchers.

  • Seven capacity building Project Grants for early-career researchers.
  • Five Post-doctoral Fellowships, providing early-career researchers the opportunity to fast-track their progress towards becoming an independent researcher.
  • One Mid-Career Research Fellowship, for a researcher establishing their career in dementia research.
  • Four Travel Grants, to assist Australian dementia researchers to travel nationally or internationally, to learn new techniques and/or build networks with well-known research teams.
  • Two Clinical Practice Post-graduate Stipends, to enable health professionals to embark on a career in dementia research.
  • Two Research Translation Grants to accelerate the adoption of best practice approaches to dementia care.

In 2025, the Dementia Australia Research Foundation also supported the next stage of research for five of our previously funded researchers through our Getting Real about Research initiative.  The initiative provides researchers with the opportunity to present their ideas to potential donors.  We also partnered with the Australian Association of Gerontology (AAG) Research Trust to fund research that aims to improve the lives of people living with dementia, their families and carers (further information available at AAG website).
