Core Dementia Skills

This training course is designed for anyone who supports people living with dementia and works in aged care across residential aged care, respite, community or home-care settings.
You will learn about the impact of dementia and its symptoms, how to communicate with empathy, provide person-centred care, how to use a problem-solving approach to support changed behaviours, and how to engage with someone in a meaningful way.

Workshop format
Using a case study throughout, training will be practical with interactive activities and group work.

- Tailored to the needs of your staff, this course is suitable for groups of up to 25 participants
- Pathway to 10993NAT Certificate IV in Dementia Practice, Bachelor of Dementia Care or Masters of Dementia.
