James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership for Delirium Research

The Delirium Research Priority Setting Partnership facilitated by the James Lind Alliance, a UK-based, non-profit initiative that brings together patients, carers, and clinicians to identify and agree on the top ten research priorities in delirium. The project involves two interim prioritisation surveys followed by a final consensus workshop, where participants (consumers and clinicians) collaboratively discuss and vote to determine the ten most important unanswered research questions about delirium. 

This study has been approved by the Metro North Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC/2024/MNHA/110598).

Participation

People who meet the foollowing criteria may be eligible to participate in the second prioritisation survey: 

  • People who have had delirium 
  • People who have cared for someone with delirium, e.g. family members, healthcare staff
  • People with health conditions that increase the risk of delirium (e.g. people living with frailty or dementia, cancer), and carers or their family members.

Further selection criteria includes: adults aged 18 years or older living in Australia or New Zealand
