Workplace Experiences and Wellbeing in Dementia Care Staff

The research study aims to investigate workplace experiences and wellbeing among paid staff who are currently employed within the sector, this includes residential aged care, hospital, or community care settings [including NDIS], who support people living with dementia in Australia. 

This study investigates how perceived workplace support influences the relationship between job demands and work-related burnout among dementia care staff. 

This study is being conducted by Joshua Dietrich as part of the requirements for a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) degree at Charles Sturt University, under the supervision of Dr Prasada Rao Podugu.

Who can participate? 

You are eligible if you are: (a) aged 18 years or older, (b) currently employed in a paid role in Australia, (c) working in a residential aged care, hospital, or community care setting [including NDIS], and (d) regularly working with or providing support to people living with dementia.

What does participation involve?

If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete a short anonymous online survey about your work demands, workplace support, wellbeing, and basic demographic information. The survey is expected to take approximately 10–15 minutes.
